I do each month for groceries, merchandise, gas and restaurants, how much
will be donated to the school of my choice as a result?

How do I enroll my child’s school or my favorite nonprofits in this program?
How can I find out more? The fund raising programs that our school uses now
certainly do not produce this size of a contribution, and they require so much
effort or selling door-to-door.

• What is the COMMUNITYsmart® Community Card?

The Community Card is a loyalty card that identifies your transactions
as being part of the COMMUNITYsmart® program. It is not a payment card.

Using the card ensures that your cash purchases produce donations for the
schools or nonprofits that you designate.

  • Can I get a COMMUNITYsmart® debit or credit card?

Yes. COMMUNITYsmart® offers three types of cards, a MasterCard Debit and
Credit card and a Community Card.

A COMMUNITYsmart® Debit card is a payment card. It is a MasterCard,
available through participating financial institutions, and earns donations
for your designated schools and nonprofits and Personal Rewards for you.

A COMMUNITYsmart® Credit card is a payment card. It is a MasterCard,
available through participating financial institutions, and earns donations
for your designated schools and nonprofits. The card also earns Personal
Rewards at a higher and faster rate than the debit card.

• I spend cash or write checks a lot. Can I still participate?

Yes. Most other programs that offer Bonus Rewards require you
to use a registered Credit or Debit card.

Sign up for the nonpayment “Community Card” and swipe it whenever you
pay by cash, check, debit or credit card and you will earn cash donations
for your designated schools and nonprofits.

  • How does my COMMUNITYsmart® Card work?

Present your Community Card at any Participating Merchant. Swipe
your card through the payment terminal at the time of purchase. This will produce
a donation to your chosen nonprofit organization or school. If you have a
COMMUNITYsmart® debit or credit card, you will also earn personal rewards in
the form of points, which may be redeemed for travel, merchandise, or you may
choose to make a cash donation to your organization by converting your points to COMMUNITYsmart® CASH. Instructions for converting your points to cash may be
found at the redemption site. Click on the “Redeem My Points” link from your
personal account page.

  • How do cash donations occur?

A qualifying transaction at a participating COMMUNITYsmart® merchant
produces a rebate from that merchant that funds a cash contribution to
your chosen school or nonprofit organization(s). And if you use a
COMMUNITYsmart® debit or credit card the transaction also earns points
for you. These points are redeemable for unrestricted airline miles, dining,
merchandise and gift certificates from major retailers, or additional cash
donations.

  • What is a Participating Merchant?

These are merchants who have become part of COMMUNITYsmart® and
provide Personal Rewards and cash donations to your chosen schools and
nonprofits as a direct result of your purchases at their locations. Look for the
COMMUNITYsmart® logo on the door and at checkout. They are giving back
to your local community because they appreciate your loyalty and repeat
business.

  • Where can I use COMMUNITYsmart® Cards?

COMMUNITYsmart® debit and credit cards are accepted everywhere
MasterCard is accepted. Merchant funded Personal Rewards and cash
donations are provided by Participating Merchants with qualifying purchases.

Nonpayment Community Cards can be used at any merchant displaying the
COMMUNITYsmart® logo. Using your cards at Participating Merchants ensures
that donations are earned. To earn personal rewards you must use a
COMMUNITYsmart debit or credit card. Find COMMUNITYsmart® merchants.

  • How can I get a Community Card?

Simply complete the online Community Card order form.

  • How do I keep track of my points and the rebates to my designated
schools and nonprofits that result from my purchases?

COMMUNITYsmart® does this for you, and all information is securely available
In your personal account at this website (www.communitysmart.com).

  • When I use my Community Card, the terminal at checkout says
“Decline for Payment”. Why?

This happens because this card is not a payment card. Decline for payment is
normal, and your transaction is still verified as being part of COMMUNITYsmart®.

  • If I use my card for approximately $850 worth of the normal spending
I do each month for groceries, merchandise, gas and restaurants, how much
will be donated to the school of my choice as a result?

Count on about $35 in monthly contributions, based on the average
spending/rebate model. The exact amount varies by card type, merchant and size
of transaction. On top of this, depending on the type of COMMUNITYsmart® card
you use, you also accumulate a minimum of 850 points or more in Personal Rewards

  • How can this program give back so much? What is the catch?

First, the success of the program depends on the loyal repeat business of
people like you, who choose to shop with merchants that support the community.
Through your loyal, repeat business, you are helping your merchants to be
profitable. Loyal repeat business, and your word-of-mouth advertising increases
that merchant’s customer base, and purchase frequency increases.

Second, COMMUNITYsmart®, through its patent pending, electronic processing
system has automated the entire process associated with collecting and
distributing donations and points. This means no paper or scrip, and reduced
administrative costs. This streamlined program is cost efficient to all parties.

  • How do I enroll my child’s school or my favorite nonprofits in this program?
How can I find out more? The fund raising programs that our school uses now
certainly do not produce this size of a contribution, and they require so much
effort or selling door-to-door.

Simply print the one page enrollment form and have an authorized representative
from your nonprofit or school sign and fax it back to COMMUNITYsmart®.
